Quantum Leap Cast

6th October 1979: Sam leaps into the barely-clad body of male stripper Rod the Body, during a ‘performance’ at a nightclub filled with sex-crazed women. While the shy and prudish Sam is both embarrassed and morally outraged, Al is delighted, wishing he were the one being treated like a piece of meat by so many attractive girls. Al tells his friends that his mission is to save Dianna, a young deaf waitress who is destined to fall into a life of stripping and prostitution, before dying of A.I.D.S. in seven years’ time. Learning that Diana loves to dance, using the bass-line of the music as her muse, Sam sees a way to steer her onto a professional dancing career, and encourages her to take part in an open audition at a dance company run by one of the nightclub’s patrons, Joanne Chapman. However, Sam’s good intentions only serve to anger Diane, and she vows to have nothing to do with him any more…
