Quantum Leap Cast

4th September 1954: Sam leaps into legendary pool player Charlie ‘Black Magic’ Walters. Al is immediately thrilled – when he was a boy, he ran away from the orphanage and tried to pick Magic’s wallet; instead of turning him in, Magic took Al under his wing, acting as his mentor for several months until the boy eventually returned home. Charlie’s granddaughter, Violet, is in trouble: the bar she owns was bought using money loaned from a slimeball pool shark named Eddie Davis, and unless she pays him back the loan in the next few days, Eddie will take ownership of the establishment. Because Violet is black, the town bank refuses to give her a loan, and it seems like she will lose everything. Knowing that Magic’s eyesight is deteriorating, Eddie challenges the old man to a game of pool, with Violet’s bar – and her body – as the stakes; Sam is forced to accept, even though he cannot play pool to save his life. Somehow, Al must find a way to make his friend into a champion player in just one day…
