9th September 1959: Sam leaps into disc jockey Howlin' Chick Howell, at Peoria’s WOF 730AM radio station. The station’s owner, Rachel Porter, knows that rock ’n’ roll is the next big thing, but her attempts to play this radical music to her appreciative teenage audience are fiercely opposed by the town’s conservative elders. Unless Sam can find a way to help save the radio station it will fail – and as a result, Rachel’s life will go downhill too…
