'Junk Yard Dog' by Calvin Clements Jr.

The Foundation mounts a raid on the ‘Interstate Waste Disposal Company’, an illegal dump owned by the unscrupulous ‘Acid’ John Byrock, which is leaking toxic waste into the ground. However, during the mission, K.I.T.T. is attacked by a monster truck and tipped into an acid pit. A distraught Michael turns to Bonnie for help in repairing K.I.T.T., but the damage is extensive, and her only option is to use what little of the A.I.’s memory banks have survived to recreate him. But will this new K.I.T.T. ever be as good as the original?
