Nibbler is reassigned by the Nibblonian Council to observe a neighbouring universe die. To say goodbye to his Planet Express friends, Nibbler takes them to the park for a Robuki presentation of ‘Apollo 13’ and then gives them the bad news over drinks. But when Nibbler tries wiping their minds (again), the blast bounces off Bender’s shiny metal ass and wipes Nibbler’s mind instead, reducing him to a mindless animal. He runs away, and after a series of adventures, gets captured by NNY Animal Control and then adopted by a little girl called Pramela. Luckily for the Planet Express gang, Pramela proves highly allergic to ‘Jennifer’, so they take him back home. Using the ‘return home button’ in Nibbler’s spaceship, Fry, Leela and Bender take the alien to planet Eternium. The Nibblonian Council are unable to reverse the mind-ray, so they lead the Planet Express gang to their Maximum-Security Penitentiary, ‘The Ice Prison, to seek the help of the one person who can help: Brainormous, the universe’s most dangerous criminal. Using a mind meld, Brainormous successfully restores Nibber’s memory, then promptly escapes from prison. But Leela’s happiness that Nibbler is back to normal is short-lived, as he still intends to leave on his mission to the dying universe…
