'Round and Round' by Daniel Postgate

Mother Clanger gets cross when Tiny, Small and a glow buzzer run around her garden, so she closes it off from everyone. This upsets the Soup Dragon, who blocks off the Soup Mine, which in turn makes Major Clanger close the living area. They all soon realise they are being silly and stubborn, and decide to apologise to each other; but when they going looking they keep missing each other, and just walk round and round in circles…
