The Sarah Jane Adventures - Cast

Sarah attempts to stop Mr Dread, who warns that if Androvax were to release and activate his ship, the vessel’s stardrive engines would disrupt the Vault’s matrix and cause a dimensional disruption that would tear the Earth apart. During the distraction, the Veil possessing Clyde’s body makes his escape, swapping bodies with Gita along the way before driving off in her van. Knowing where his quarry will be heading, Mr Dread sets off in his own vehicle for the abandoned asylum, closely followed by Sarah and her friends. Catching up with the android at traffic lights, Sarah uses her sonic lipstick to disable the MiB’s car, allowing her to overtake him; however, Mr Dread just commandeers a van from a terrified driver, and sets off once more. Reaching St Jude’s, Sarah, Clyde and Rani split up to look for ‘Gita’; elsewhere, Androvax makes his way painfully through the empty corridors, his - and Gita’s - body wracked with pain from the deadly Swamp Viper poison. While Clyde and Rani avoid one of the MiBs patrolling the hospital, Sarah uses her wrist device to locate the Vault; she soon finds herself confronted by Mr Dread again, who informs her that although the Alliance of Shades has disbanded, his mission protocols are still active – and he wants the alien tech that she is holding! However, the wily Sarah is too quick, and after ‘disarming’ the MiB, she makes her escape. Finding Androvax close to death, Rani offers the Veil her own body to save her mother’s; but when the alien releases Gita, Rani tricks him, allowing her, Clyde and Gita to get away; when they then run into one of the MiBs, Clyde acts as a decoy to lead the android away from Rani and Gita, but he them comes face-to-face with the third MiB. As the two black-suited androids close in on him, Clyde jumps out of the way – just as the two MiBs open fire, and blow each other to smithereens! Sarah finds Androvax, who once again asks for her help; however, this time Sarah refuses: she will not help with the rebirth of his people, as it will mean the destruction of hers. When Androvax finally succumbs to the poison, Sarah turns to leave – but it is a trick, and the cunning Veil takes over her body once more! Mr Dread captures Rani and Gita, and takes them back to his control room; luckily for them, Clyde is not far behind: he pushes the MiB into a stasis booth, and with Rani’s help locks the android inside the casket. Clyde, Rani and Gita head for the Vault, where they meet ‘Sarah’ and learn that Androvax is dead; furthermore, ‘Sarah’ tells them that she now plans to open the Vault and release the Veil, explaining that Mr Smith will find a way to transport the aliens off Earth without the need for its destruction. Using the activator discs, Clyde and ‘Sarah’ open the Vault: the heavy door slides open to reveal a massive, hyper-dimensional chamber crammed with alien spaceships; at that point Androvax jumps free of Sarah’s body, pushing her and the others back into the corridor and resealing the door after them. Entering his ship, Androvax activates the vessel’s engines – and as they begin to power-up, the entire hospital above begins to shake... Realising that their only hope lies with Mr Dread, Sarah and her friends race back to the control room and release the android, imploring him to help; with just two minutes before planetary destruction, Mr Dread begrudgingly agrees: connecting himself to the deactivated teleport terminal, he uses his internal power supply to charge the systems, transporting the Veil ship into space with mere seconds to spare. Triumphant, Androvax flies his vessel off into the stars… back in the control room, Sarah, Clyde, Rani and Gita are elated, but the sombre Mr Dread is implacable: now that Androvax has taken one of the deactivator discs with him the Vault can never be reopened – Mr Dread’s mission is finally over. With Gita now planning to go public with her stories of her alien encounters, Sarah asks Mr Dread for one last favour: the android complies, and erases Gita’s memory of recent events. Some time later, Sarah, Clyde, Rani and Gita arrive in Bannerman Road, where they are met by Ocean and Minty; however, Gita now believes she has come back from a picnic, and denies all knowledge of, or belief in, aliens. Ocean and Minty are disappointed: the Men in Black have clearly gotten to them... Elsewhere, out in space, the last of the Veil begin their quest to find a planet to settle on, to make a new beginning…
