Later, U.S.A.F. Colonel Edward Straker arrives in Britain for a top security meeting with General Henderson and a government minister, but their motorcade is attacked by a U.F.O. and blown off the road&

In 1980: S.H.A.D.O. - the Supreme Headquarters Alien Defence Organisation - goes operational, ready to defend the Earth from alien invasion. Located in a secret base underneath the Harlington-Straker film studios, it is controlled by Commander Straker, who also poses under the cover of a producer. After a fire at Westbrook Electronics, Colonel Freeman, Straker s right-hand man, and Colonel Virginia Lake are assigned to bring back important utronic equipment on a flight from Los Angeles. But S.I.D., S.H.A.D.O. s Space Intruder Detector, warns of an approaching U.F.O., and so Moonbase Interceptors are scrambled to destroy the craft; however, it evades their missiles and moves in to attack Freeman s aircraft - only to be shot down by Sky One, a highly-manoeuvrable aircraft launched from Skydiver, one of a fleet of submarines. When the wreckage of the U.F.O. is searched, the body of an alien is recovered - leading Straker to discovery the horrifying truth behind the aliens plans for the population of Earth&

Edward Bishop (Commander Ed Straker), George Sewell (Colonel Alec Freeman), Peter Gordeno (Captain Peter Carlin), Gabrielle Drake (Lt.
