S.H.A.D.O. technician Paul Roper is being blackmailed: his wife will be murdered unless he passes computer co-ordinates to the aliens. When Freeman notices Roper’s stress during a debriefing he decides to investigate; Roper is forced to explain, but is unable to reveal the identity of his contact. When Commander Straker realises that the aliens are planning to attack Moonbase, Roper implores him to give him the chance to make amends by taking a rocket-launcher onto the surface of the moon and stopping the attack by himself…
