After a Naval vessel in the Atlantic shoots down a U.F.O., Commander Straker and General Henderson see the story in the newspapers the next day, despite the fact that S.H.A.D.O. did not detect the alien craft. When they then confront the Admiralty over the security leak, Admiral Sheringham blocks any further investigations into the incident. Straker suspects a cover-up, and sends Foster to use his charms on the Admiral’s secretary, Sarah Bosanquet. Searching Sarah’s flat, Foster soon discovers a telescope that contains a hidden alien transmitter…
