After getting I.A.C. backing, Commander Straker and Freeman supervise the testing of a powerful new electron telescope; they plan to mount the device in a B142 space probe in order to photograph the aliens' homeworld and then transmit the pictures back to Earth. When a U.F.O. approaches, S.H.A.D.O. allows it to avoid an attack by Moonbase Interceptors, and the B142 follows the craft on its long voyage back to the aliens' planet. Many weeks later, the pictures from the telescope are received by S.H.A.D.O. H.Q. - but will they be worth the wait..?
