But the explosion damages an illegal pirate television satellite called  K.L.A. , knocking it out of orbit. On board, D.J. Rick O'Shea and his engineer, Loman, suddenly realise that their satellite is heading for re-entry without the proper breaking parachutes; Loman attempts to repair the damage but becomes trapped in an airlock.
