Lady Penelope and Parker holiday at a hotel in Monte Bianco to witness the historic testing of a new solar generator. But during the night, the generator's solar reflector dish is struck by lightning and comes to rest with the dish pointing directly at the town. As the sun rises the next morning, the magnified heat begins to burn the town. While <I>International Rescue</I> and Brains work on the dish, ‘Lord’ Parker and Bruno, the hotel manager, play ‘Bingo’ to keep the guests unaware of their fate…
