After the Tracy s respond to the false alarm, the story brings unwanted publicity for the boys father, John, who is engaged in top security research for the military. When The Hood later plans to steal spy top-secret satellite photos from John Williams' tracking station, and traps the boys in a disused mine as part of his scheme.
