Star Trek The Next Generation Cast

The U.S.S. Enterprise's terraforming mission is cancelled, and Captain Picard is instructed to set course for a Federation starbase to meet with Fleet Admiral Brackett. She tells him that one of the Federation's most noted ambassadors vanished several days ago, and has now been located by intelligence reports on Romulus - if the ambassador has defected, then the threat to Federation security will be almost incalculable. Picard is stunned to discover that the ambassador is the legendary Vulcan, Spock. He immediately travels to the planet Vulcan to speak with Spock's father, Sarek, who is now gravely ill; Sarek's relationship with his son has become strained, but he is able to tell Picard that Spock may be in contact with a Romulan senator named Pardek. Meanwhile, aboard the Enterprise, Commander Riker and Lieutenant LaForge investigate Vulcan metal fragments recovered from a downed Ferengi ship; the Vulcans deny all knowledge of the remains, leading the two officers to conclude that they were stolen by the Ferengi. Picard decides that he needs an undetectable ship for the journey to Romulus, and so sets course for the Klingon homeworld. Here he convinces the council to provide him with a cloaked ship, in return for the Federation's gratitude. Lieutenant Commander Data is able to use a visual record to confirm that Spock has met with Pardek, noting that the Senator has been advocating the peaceful reunification of the Vulcan and Romulan states for many years. LaForge is able to identify the metal fragments as part of a Vulcan deflector array from the decommissioned vessel T'PauEnterprise to the supply depot in which the ship is currently residing, hoping that the thieves will return for more parts. Meanwhile, Data and Picard, now with prosthetic disguises, head off to Romulans in the Klingon ship. But will they be able to locate Spock and prevent his apparent defection..?
