Commander Riker, Lieutenant Commander Data and Lieutenant Worf beam down to the surface of the nearest planet, only to discover a completely back void, empty apart from a revolving door. Stepping through they then find themselves inside the casino of the Hotel Royale, full of employees and patrons frozen into immobility. When communication with the ship is suddenly cut off, Riker and the others discover that they are unable to leave the hotel, as the revolving door continually leads back into the lobby. Bizarrely, the staff and patrons then come to life and begin to enact the drama of a bellboy who must fight an evil gambler for the woman he loves; then, in one of the rooms, the three officers discover the ancient body of an American Air Force officer, and a novel entitled The Hotel Royale'...

Patrick Stewart (Captain Jean-Luc Picard), Jonathan Frakes (Commander William Thomas Riker), LeVar Burton (Chief Engineer Lieutenant Geordi La Forge), Michael Dorn (Security Chief Lieutenant Worf), Marina Sirtis (Councelor Deanna Troi), Brent Spiner (Lieutenant Commander Data), Wil Wheaton (Wesley Crusher), Diana Muldaur (Doctor [Commander] Katherine Kate Pulaski), Sam Anderson (Assistant Manager), Jill Jacobson (Vanessa), Leo Garcia (The Bell Boy), Nobel Willingham (Texas), Colm Meaney (Transporter Chief Miles O Brien), Gregory Beecroft (Mickey D)

Directed by Cliff Bole
Produced by Burton Armus, John Mason and Mike Gray
Executive Producer Gene Roddenberry

TX:
27th March, 1989

Notes:
*Featuring Captain Jean-Luc Picard, Commander William Thomas Riker, Chief Engineer Lieutenant Geordi La Forge, Security Chief Lieutenant Worf, Councelor Deanna Troi, Lieutenant Commander Data, Doctor [Commander] Katherine Kate Pulaski and Wesley Crusher
