Enterprise</I> detects a disabled Earth satellite dating back to the Twentieth century; inside are found the perfectly preserved bodies of three people, held in suspended animation inside cryogenic chambers. Picard returns to the ship and informs his crew that they have been ordered to the outskirts of the Neutral Zone; two Federation outposts have recently been destroyed, and it is suspected that the Romulans may be responsible as a prelude to war, despite their being unheard from in seventy-five years. After Lieutenant Commander Data brings the three bodies aboard, Doctor Beverly Crusher is able to revive them, and soon a housewife, a businessman and an entertainer are exploring the wonders of their new surroundings, and coming to terms with three-hundred years of change.
