Captain Picard assigns Counselor Troi to look after Loquel, and places Byleth in the charge of Commander Riker; however, when Byleth demands that Lieutenant Worf be his guide, the Klingon has no choice but to reluctantly agree. The captain leaves for a meeting with the Iyaaran head of state; he departs in a shuttle piloted by a grumpy Iyaaran named Voval, but a malfunction causes them to crash on an unknown, storm-racked planet. Voval is concussed, and when Picard tries to find help, he falls unconscious and is dragged away by an unseen person& He comes to in a cargo cabin and meets an attractive human woman named Anna; she is unused to speech, but is able to tell him that Voval is dead, and that she is the sole survivor of a Terellian cargo freighter that crashed on the planet seven years ago. Learning that he has three broken ribs, Picard sends Anna to retrieve the shuttlecraft's communication panel, but she accidentally destroys the transmitter while extracting it. Picard is disappointed, and then taken aback when Anna kisses him and declares her love for him. On the Enterprise, Troi introduces Loquel to the hedonistic delights of chocolate desserts, while Worf s patience is sorely tested by the irritating and demanding Byleth. Riker decides to ease the tension with a friendly game of poker, but Byleth soon begins stealing chips from Worf; the Klingon becomes enraged and a fight breaks out between him and the ambassador, but Byleth astonishes everyone by actually seeming pleased by Worf s display of anger. Meanwhile, on the planet, Picard discovers that his ribs are not really broken; despite her profession of love, Anna is actually holding him captive&

Patrick Stewart (Captain Jean-Luc Picard), Jonathan Frakes (Commander William Thomas Riker), LeVar Burton (Chief Engineer Lieutenant Commander Geordi La Forge), Michael Dorn (Security Chief Lieutenant Worf), Gates McFadden (Doctor Beverly Crusher), Marina Sirtis (Councelor Deanna Troi), Brent Spiner (Lieutenant Commander Data), Barbara Williams (Anna), Eric Pierpoint (Voval), Paul Eiding (Loquel), Michael Harris (Byleth), Ricky D'shon Collins (Boy)

Directed by Cliff Bole
Produced by Ronald D.
