Now, the U.S.S. Enterprise arrives on Data s homeworld to investigate the incident; beaming down with an away team, Data and Lieutenant Geordi La Forge discover a hidden laboratory containing android body parts - which look exactly like Data. After the components are taken back to the Enterprise, Doctor Beverly Crusher and Chief Engineer Argyle assemble them and re-activate Lore, Data s brother; Lore tells them that he was created by Doctor Noonian Soong, but was disassembled by the colonists because they were jealous of his perfection. As a result, Soong created a less-than-perfect android: Data. But what Lore does not tell them is that before he was disassembled, he gained his revenge on the colonists by making contact with a voracious crystalline entity, which then consumed all life on the planet. Lore now plans to turn the entity loose on the Enterprise; he renders Data unconscious and then takes his place - will Data s crewmated realise the deception in time, or will the enity destroy the entire crew?

Patrick Stewart (Captain Jean-Luc Picard), Jonathan Frakes (Commander William Thomas Riker), LeVar Burton (Lieutenant Geordi La Forge), Denise Crosby (Security Chief Lieutenant Natasha Tasha Yar), Michael Dorn (Lieutenant Worf), Gates McFadden (Doctor Beverly Crusher), Marina Sirtis (Councelor Deanna Troi), Brent Spiner (Lieutenant Commander Data / Lore), Wil Wheaton (Wesley Crusher), Biff Yeager (Engineer Argyle)

Directed by Rob Bowman
Produced by Maurice Hurley
Executive Producer Gene Roddenberry

TX:
18th January, 1988

Notes:
*Featuring Captain Jean-Luc Picard, Commander William Thomas Riker, Lieutenant Geordi La Forge, Security Chief Lieutenant Natasha Tasha Yar, Lieutenant Worf, Doctor Beverly Crusher, Councelor Deanna Troi, Lieutenant Commander Data and Wesley Crusher
