Ian and Randi

A hoard of cannibalistic zombies rise up from their graves and shamble inside a nearby church – all except the resurrected John Decarlo, who instead returns home and scares the hell out of his slutty widow and grieving mother. Meanwhile, Ian receives a phone call from a Hollywood film producer, who wants to turn his new novel, ‘Satan’s Sex Slaves’, into a blockbuster movie; Ian is ecstatic, but his jubilation is shattered when he goes to work at the university the next morning: his department head, Doctor Samantha Stevens, condemns his book as a disgrace and then fires him from the campus. That evening, Ian introduces his family to the newly-arrived producer from ‘Mighty Metal Pictures’, Charlie Beaudine – and is stunned when Randi immediately slaps the man in the face; attempting to placate Rani’s inexplicable anger, Ian takes advantage of the arrival of an hysterical Lily Decarlo, who wants his help with her undead husband. Arriving at the Decarlo’s flat, Ian and Randi find John eating his mother; the zombie then attacks them, but Randi manages to trick him into jumping through a window. Returning home, Ian is disappointed to learn that Charlie has really come to England to make up with Randi – his ex-fiancé. The next day, Randi agrees to have brunch with Charlie; but after surviving another zombie attack, she is furious to discover that the jealous Ian has been spying on her. Ian decides to put his efforts into investigating the zombies, and soon learns that someone is attempting to control the undead by reconstructing an ancient artefact known as the Staff of Gilgamesh. Staking out the graveyard where John was buried, Ian is joined by an apologetic Randi; together they witness more zombies rising from the dead – summoned up by none other than Samantha Stevens…
