Published in the Radio Times the week after the BBC1 airing of the Eighth Doctor movie (issue dated 1-7 June 1996) the comic strip ran for 42 weeks (until issue dated 22 - 2 March 1997)

The strip was planned to last for 60-parts, with the fifth story to be called 'Deceptions'. Unfortunately, a change of management at 'The Radio Times' let to the run being curtailed, the two part 'Coda' was substituted instead.

All of the stories were scripted by Gary Russell; art by Lee Sullivan; colour by Alan Craddock; and lettering by Alitta Fell.

Doctor Who Logo 'Dreadnought'

The Doctor

When the TARDIS materialises on the deep space haulage ship Dreadnought, the Doctor meets Stacy Townsend. The ship has been taken over by Cybermen, who capture the two, and attempt to convert the Doctor into a Cyberman in order to steal the secrets of time travel from him. The Doctor resists, but when Stacy is threatened, he is forced to take the metal monsters aboard the TARDIS. In a distraction caused when Stacy's lover Bill overcomes his partial cybernisation, the Doctor is able to reverse the polarity of the TARDIS's neutron flow, thereby destroying the Cybermen. Stacy joins the Doctor.

Doctor Who Logo 'Descendance'

The Doctor

Arriving on Mars, The Doctor and Stacy are captured by Ice Warriors. They become involved in a power struggle between Ice Lord Uzoxx and Ice Lord Artix, and befriend an Ice Warrior called Ssard. When the trio are attacked and become separated, the Doctor rescues the Martian Prince Izaxyrl from the clutches of Lord Artix.

Doctor Who Logo 'Ascendance'

The Doctor

(Continued from 'Descendance') The Doctor and Izaxyrl rescue Stacy and Ssard from Lord Artix's clutches. Uzoxx's wife Luass is in league with Artix, and attempts to frame the Doctor for murder. However, Lord Artix confesses their plans and Luass is killed by Lord Uzoxx. Ssard decides to join the TARDIS crew.

Doctor Who Logo 'Perceptions'

The Doctor

The Doctor, Stacy and Ssard arrive in Victorian London, and discover a huge space ship that they can see, but which is invisible to anyone from that time. They meet the ship's owner, P'fer'd, a horse-like Equanoid,. P'fer'd tells the Doctor that his wife M'rek'd is missing. Stacy finds M'rek'd held captive in a freak show, and she frees her with the aid of some street urchins. But the owner of the freak show is a shape-shifting alien, who attacks them. M'rek'd and P'fer'd are reunited and Stacy rejoins the Doctor and Ssard. But is she the person she should be…

Doctor Who Logo 'Coda'

The Doctor

The Doctor realises that the shape shifter has replaced Stacy, and he traps it in a sonic bubble. The real Stacy appears, along with three other aliens. Trapping them all, the Doctor returns the disgraced creatures to their home planet. The Doctor, Stacy and Ssard continue on their travels.
