Posing as doctors, the two detectives are sent to the Pain Corporation, a secret emotion-research laboratory situated beneath an innocent-looking golf course. Here Jeff and Jeannie meet Petra Winters, a senior scientist undertaking truth-serum testing with very candid results and Colonel Anger, the charismatic head of the facility, whose office is an exact recreation of the Amazonian jungle in which he crashed his fighter plane twenty-five years ago. With the help of Marty, who is himself experimenting, this time with the ability to shape-shift, Jeff is able to discover the secret of the Pain Corporation s new drug, Niarol, which acts as a pain-delayer, suppressing the effects of ailments until hours, or even days, later. Jeff and Marty realise that Niarol has the potential for far more as a death-delayer, it could be the key to immortality&

Vic Reeves (Marty Hopkirk), Bob Mortimer (Jeff Randall), Emila Fox (Jeannie Hurst), Tom Baker (Wyvern), Derek Jacobi (Colonel Anger), Dervla Kirwan (Petra Winters), Duncan Preston (Doctor Hickman), Alibe Parsons (Receptionist), Simon Poole (Danvers), Charlie Higson (Bulstrode), Tim Wallers (Lacey), Shaaron Jackson (Miss Weekly), Nitin Ganatra (Ramon), Newton Boothe (Guard)

Directed by Charlie Higson

TX:
UK: 20th October, 2001

Notes:
*Featuring Jeff Randall, the late Marty Hopkirk, Jeannie Hurst and Wyvern
