Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased) Cast

Clara Faringham, Marty’s aunt, turns up out of the blue at the office, hoping to hire her nephew to protect her while she tries out her new winning system for roulette in Monte Carlo. Saddened to hear of his untimely death, Clara asks Jeff and Jean to accompany her instead, unaware that Marty has agreed to come along too. The three detectives’ disbelief quickly vanishes when Clara is hugely successful on the first night at the casino, winning £25,000. But Clara has been followed from London by two racketeers, Lawsey and Sagran, who want to steal her little red book and all her winnings. While Clara is offered protection by the casino's manager, Tapiro, Jeff, despite Marty's protests, succumbs to the wiles of a young woman named Suzanne. At night, while Jeff sleeps, Marty watches over Clara and Jean; before long the London crooks attempt to break in, but are overpowered by a group of French thugs led by Max. Marty tries desperately to wake Jeff, but he is a sound sleeper, and by the time Marty uses a seltzer bottle to splash Jeff in the face, the hotel detectives have taken care of the French villains. The next day Jean and Jeff are distracted, allowing Lawsey and Sagran to tie her up and steal her red notebook. But Clara reveals that the book is useless - the system is in her head, and the book only contains winning numbers. Unaware of this, the British thugs, the French thugs, and the hotel staff try another round of attacks. Clara continues to win, further frustrating the racketeers who want to regain their money. When Jean is kidnapped and held at gunpoint, Jeff and Marty realise that the only way to protect Clara and save Jean is to make Clara lose. Marty manages to influence the roulette wheel's turn, and Clara’s bet fails. Disenchanted, Lawsey and Sagran leave. Jeff, Marty, and Jean leave Monte Carlo with Clara, who now has another idea: horseracing!
