After walking down a tunnel containing jukeboxes that play All You Need is Love , they emerge into a huge cavern containing a jury of masked, robed figures, a missile silo, and a throne for Number 6. He has finally earned his right to be an individual, but before Number 6 can meet the man in charge, the President of the Assembly presents him with three forms of revolt: the first is youth, personified by the hippie Number 48. The second is the late Number 2, who has now been brought back to life. But who is Number 1? What is the fate of the Village? And will the ex-Number 6 like the answers he is finally given?

Patrick McGoohan (Number 6), Angelo Muscat (The Butler), Leo McKern (Number Two), Kenneth Griffith (President), Peter Swanwick (Supervisor), Michael Miller (Delegate), Alexis Kanner (Number 48)

Directed by Patrick McGoohan
Produced by David Tomblin
An ITC production by Everyman Films Ltd.

TX:
1st February, 1968 @ 7.30 pm Scottish Television

Notes:
*Featuring Number 6

*This episode begins with a recap of the events from Once Upon A Time

*It also features a different title sequence with an alternative version of the theme tune, which is actually the second part of the standard opening titles theme

*The location of the series is finally revealed as Portmeirion in Wales
