But the pod runs into trouble, and both vessel and ape pilot are believed lost. The ape s trainer, astronaut Leo Davidson, sets off in a second a pod cruiser to rescue the creature, only to be caught up in a space / time wormhole, crash-landing on a strange planet where he is amazed to discover that talking apes rule over humans. Leo is captured by the apes and taken to their city, where he is subjected to many humiliating tests. But with the help of a sympathetic chimpanzee activist named Ari, Leo manages to escape, and he joins forces with a small group of human rebels; together they decide to head for the planet s barren Forbidden Zone, in the hope of finding shelter from the apes wrath. However, they are pursued by the human-hating General Thade and his gorilla army, who want the humans stopped at any cost. Reaching the Forbidden Zone, Leo makes a shocking discovery - one that holds the secret behind the planet and its inhabitants&

Mark Wahlberg (Captain Leo Davidson), Tim Roth (General Thade), Helena Bonham Carter (Ari), Michael Clarke Duncan (Colonel Attar), Paul Giamatti (Limbo), Estella Warren (Daena), Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa (Krull), David Warner (Senator Sandar), Kris Kristofferson (Karubi), Erick Avari (Tival), Luke Eberl (Birn), Evan Dexter Parke (Gunnar), Glenn Shadix (Senator Nado), Freda Foh Shen (Bon), Chris Ellis (Lieutenant General Karl Vasich), Anne Ramsay (Lieutenant Colonel Grace Alexander), Andrea Grano (Major Maria Cooper), Michael Jace (Major Frank Santos), Michael Wiseman (Specialist Hansen), Lisa Marie (Nova), Eileen Weisinger (Leeta), Deep Roy (Gorilla Kid / Thade's Niece), Chad Bannon (Red Ape Soldier / Man Hunt Ape), Kevin Grevioux (Limbo's First Handler / Ape Commander / Second Ape Soldier), Isaac C.
