Planet of the Apes Cast

When Virdon, Burke and Galen explore the remains of a ruined city, they find a secure metal door. Managing to open it, they find a complex device that projects the image of a human scientist from the 1980s; the recording states that human civilisation is on the verge of destruction, and reveals that mankind’s scientists have collected all knowledge and stored it in several secret locations around the world. Unfortunately, the machine runs out of power before the three fugitives can learn the whereabouts of the secret cache in this city, and so they begin searching for materials to make a battery. They are spotted by gorilla troopers, who pursue them through the rubble; Galen and Burke are able to evade them, but Virdon injures his leg and is captured. After a brutal interrogation of the astronaut by Genral Urko proves unsuccessful, Doctor Zaius formulates a plan; knowing that Virdon had a family back in his own time, he arranges for him to be imprisoned with a human woman and a young boy, in the hope that he will see them as family and unwittingly take them into his confidence - and reveal where Burke and Galen are hiding…
