The resurrection is achieved by storing a recording of a believer’s brain-scan until such time as cloning becomes a reality; at this point, a new body would be grown, and the stored personality uploaded into it. Carter suspects that this offer of a second life is nothing but a scam, but he finds himself torn between loyalty to the viewers of his ‘What I Want To Know’ show, and to the church's founder, Vanna Smith – an old flame…
