November 23rd 1963 proves to be a significant day in the lives of all eight Doctors…

It's the day that Bob Dovie's life is ripped apart…

It's also a day that sets in motion a catastrophic chain of events which forces the first eight incarnations of the Doctor to fight for their very existence. As a mysterious, insidious chaos unfolds within the TARDIS, the barriers of time break apart…

From suburban England through war-torn alien landscapes and into a deadly, artificial dimension, all these Doctors and their companions must struggle against the power of an unfathomable, alien technology.

From the very beginning, it is clear that the Master is somehow involved. By the end, for the Doctors, there may only be darkness.

*Time-placing: (Deep breath…) The Eighth Doctor and Charley treat each other as just friends, so this story must occur early on in their adventures together; I’m placing it in Season 1 of the Big Finish audios. The Seventh Doctor has to explain regeneration to Ace, so this must be is early in their adventures together too. Peri has met the Second Doctor, placing this later on in her travels with the Sixth Doctor. The Fifth Doctor is only travelling with Nyssa, placing this in Season 19a. (Turlough asks if Charley is working for the Black Guardian, placing this between ‘Terminus’ and ‘Enlightenment’ in his and Tegan’s timeline). The Fourth Doctor remarks that he has forgotten about the main TARDIS control room, so for him and Leela this takes place during Season 14. The Third Doctor is with Jo, but this could take part at any point in their time together, so I'm putting it in Season 10 - as good a place as any! A newly-regenerated Second Doctor is discussing his, Ben and Polly's recent encounter with the Daleks, placing this between ‘Power of the Daleks’ and ‘The Highlanders’; a later version of the Second Doctor is also with Jamie and Zoe, so from their point of view this occurs during Season 6. Susan calls Ian by his first name, indicating this is later in their travels together, at the end of the First Doctor’s first season of stories. (Steven is with Sara, placing this during the events of ‘The Daleks' Master Plan’). Phew!
