Two members of a three-man astronaut team scheduled to blast off on a moon mission are killed by a mysterious red mist. With the countdown to launch imminent, security officer and former astronaut Garvin Lewis teams up with David Vincent to investigate, and together they reason that the invaders’ plan is not to prevent the first moon shots as first thought; instead it is tied in with an attempt to replace one of the astronauts with an alien, whose fake heart beat has enabled him to pass the medical tests…
