Claire attends High School in California and meets her hyper room-mate, Annie, and befriends a freshman named Gretchen Berg, who knows all about her past… In Tokyo, Ando and Hiro’s ‘Dial a Hero’ business finally gets some business: rescuing a cat; but as Ando saves the frightened feline, Hiro’s powers malfunction again… Working as a paramedic in New York, Peter becomes obsessed with saving lives… In Washington D.C., Noah is attacked by the vengeful Tracy Strauss, only to be saved by Danko… Perturbed by the fact that Sylar has become her son, Angela meets ‘Nathan’ for lunch and learns how he is a changed man… At the Sullivan Bros. Carnival, the proprietor, Samuel, uses a tattooed lady and his power over ink to find a replacement for his recently deceased brother… Noah makes a deal with Tracy… Danko is killed by a knife-wielding Carny… Hiro recovers and admits to Ando that he is dying; then his powers go wrong again, and he travels back in time fourteen years to the Sullivan Bros. Carnival… Claire makes a shocking discovery about Annie…
