The Goodies

Graeme is caught up in a book chronicling a Viking expedition to find the Lost Island of Munga, believing it to be the key to the Goodies’ fame and fortune. With Tim also intending to claim the island for England, the trio set off to Southampton to board Graeme’s replica of the Vikings’ boat. After a chaotic Royal launching ceremony, Bill, Tim and Graeme set out to sea, but after a few days they become lost, becalmed and very very hungry. Luckily for the Goodies they are rescued by a passing oil tanker that is dumping tons of oil into the water – unfortunately, the vessel’s owner, an unscrupulous millionaire named Stavros Monopolopolis, throws them overboard as soon as he finds out who they are. Washed up on a nearby island, Tim, Graeme and Bill discover they are on Munga, but their elation quickly turns to anger when they learn that Stavros is exploiting the natives, making them throw potatoes into the sea. Confronted by the Goodies, Stavros reveals that he has met them before as ‘The Music Master’; however, his real identity is that of ‘Naughty Person’ – and he has a plan to cook tons of fish and chips in the ocean as part of a mad scheme to turn Munga into a giant holiday resort…
