'Daylight Robbery on the Orient Express' by Graeme Garden and Bill Oddie |
Graeme and Bill set up ‘Goodie Hols’, offering specialist adventure holidays where anything is possible; however, Tim quickly spots that his friends’ latest venture is all a con, with everything done on the cheap. To Bill and Graeme’s distress Tim takes a booking from The Detectives Club, who want an exciting murder holiday aboard the infamous Orient Express for their annual outing. Borrowing a train from the Great Western Railway, the Goodies prepare to give a troop of Holmeses, Ironsides, Poirots, Miss Marples and Kojacks a trip of a lifetime – without actually leaving the platform! With Graeme as tour guide, Tim performing quick-changes in drag, and Bill providing moving scenery, the Goodies take their guests on a ‘journey’ through France, Italy, Yugoslavia, Egypt and Japan. But then a real crime takes place: someone steals the train and takes it to France for ‘Le Boring Contest’; all evidence points to the Goodies as the culprits – which comes as a surprise to Tim, Graeme and Bill…
