The Ghosts of Motley Hall Cast

While the ghosts try to hide from the unscheduled reappearance of the intolerably miserable spectre known as Old Gory, Gudgin meets with two new arrivals from America: Darlene Dewey and her husband Marvin. It seems that Darlene wants to try to make contact with the spirits inhabiting Motley in the hope that they can help trace her family tree, as her great, great grandmother, Clara Uproar, eloped with her lover and then emigrated to America – the only problem is that there is no trace of the name of Clara’s husband anywhere on record. Arriving at Motley, Darlene sets about using a pendulum and Ouija Board to make contact with Sir George. Fanny fetches the general, who announces that he was the person who helped Clara and her lover to elope. After Sir George and Fanny manage to recall that Clara’s lover was an American named Jim Bulstrode, they attempt to pass on the information to Darlene and Marvin, only to find that neither of the Americans can hear them. Sir George is frustrated, as this is the first time that anyone has come to the ghosts for help, but they cannot tell their visitors what they want to know. Then Matt has an idea: Old Gory can be seen and heard by everyone, so perhaps they can persuade him to pass on the information for them – but how can they convince the unhappy old ghost to agree to help..?
