Housewives across the country are becoming united in a call for a return to decency, rallying against the sex and violence inherent in society’s media. When a commission headed by Lord Purvis is set up to decide if the current laws concerning these matters need tightening up, the minister appoints Anne as one of the members of the enquiry. But when she attends a performance of the controversial new play ‘Do It’ as part of her research, Anne is attacked by an angry mob…
