'The Apes of Wrath' by Garth Marenghi

An unknown sickness is sweeping through the wards of Darkplace hospital, causing the staff and patients to regress to a primal state. As Reed tries to cope with his staff turning into monkeys, Doctor Sanchez and Liz become infected and transform into apes. Only Doctor Rick Dagless M.D. seems unaffected, and he sets out to discover the cause of the problem. Venturing into the depths of the hospital he soon shocked to learn that an ape-like demon is contaminating the hospital’s water supply using its own unholy bodily fluids…
