'Curse of Anubis' by Jim Noble

K-9 meets the Anubians, a race he helped in this long-forgotten past. Once placid, these creatures have now become war-mongers. They trick K-9 by worshipping him as their saviour. The Anubians unleash control devices and take over Gryffen, who banishes Darius from the mansion. Starkey opens the Anubian book of Deliverance and discovers their true plans. It is then left to Darius to release K-9 from Anubian control and thwart an alien invasion.
