'The Crystal Trees' by Myles McLeod

Tiny makes a tune with the Music Trees to make Granny happy, but has to stop when a cold wind starts up. The wind brings down a crystal from space, which Granny recognises as a seed from a Crystal Tree. Tiny plants the seed, and is delighted when a tree of ice crystal immediately grows. Tiny gets the other Clangers so that they can see the tree, and they arrive just as more seeds fall to the ground. Everyone plants a seed, and soon five crystal trees stand before them. But the trees don’t sparkle and glow like they should – how can the Clangers make them shine?
