Captain Black causes the music satellite TVR17, together with its 'space jockey' Rob Lynn, to be destroyed, enabling the Mysterons to retrometabolise it and set it on a collision course with Cloudbase in order to carry out their threat to kill Colonel White. After Spectrum's Angels manage to destroy the rogue satellite, White decides to leave Cloudbase so as not to place the other Spectrum agents in jeopardy. He goes into hiding aboard the submarine U.S.S. Panther II - but is unaware that his steward is a Mysteron agent intent on his destruction...
