Buffy

While out on patrol Buffy saves someone from a mugging. Spike shows up to help, but because the attackers are human he is unable to harm them, and therefore of no use to Buffy. When the two of them are finally alone they argue once more about their kissing, causing Buffy to storm off. At the Summer’s house, Willow is feeling lonely without Tara, and she begins talking to Amy the rat; she then gets an idea, and is finally able to transform Amy back into her human form. Meanwhile, at the Sunnydale Museum of Natural History, the three geeks - Warren, Andrew and Jonathan - steal a huge diamond, freezing the guard with their freeze-ray before heading back to their lair. As Amy chats to Willow she is disturbed to discover she has been a rat for three years. Buffy returns home and tries to talk to Willow about her very confusing feelings for Spike, and is surprised to see Amy de-ratted. After Amy comments on people being frozen she turns on television and hears a news report concerning the museum guard. Buffy heads off for the museum to investigate, and is not amused to find Spike there; she apologises for leading him on, telling him that she is upset about Giles leaving. But they both end up arguing again, and Buffy hits Spike; however, when Spike hits her back he is surprised not to feel any pain from his chip, but he fakes it instead. Spike then tries to test his chip by attacking a young woman in an alley, but this time the device in his brain works, leaving the vampire in pain and very confused. The next day, Tara takes Dawn out for a movie and a milkshake, trying to reassure the girl that, although she is no longer with Willow, she will always be a part of Dawn’s life. At the ‘Magic Box’ Anya, Xander, Willow and Buffy attempt to research frost demons and the stolen diamond, but with no success. Willow uses magic to access her computer, connecting her brain directly to the Internet. Despite her friend’s worries, she reassures them that she is fine, and then leaves to check on Amy. Spike shows up at Warren’s house asking for help with the chip, threatening to break a Boba Fett figure unless the geeks help him. Meanwhile, Amy and Willow decide to go out on the town and have some fun. Warren scans Spike’s chip and finds that the device is functioning normally, leading Spike to conclude that there must be something wrong with Buffy instead. Tara takes Dawn home, but there is no one there; Dawn convinces her to stay until another adult returns. Willow and Amy visit ‘The Bronze’, where they use their powers to play pool without cues, change the band to one they like, and then dress two men in skimpy outfits, placing them inside go-go cages. The two witches then undo their spells and decide to do something bigger. In his crypt, Spike prepares for Buffy by pulling out chains, rope, padlocks, handcuffs and a stun gun; he then lights some candles, casts rose petals onto his bed, and goes in search of the Slayer. Back at the ‘Magic Box’, Buffy, Xander and Anya finish their research, having come up with nothing. When their conversation turns to Willow’s increasingly strange behaviour Anya warns them that once someone gets a taste of being bad, it is difficult to bring them back. Spike finds Buffy walking home alone, but when he tries to stop her from passing by she hits him, and, to Buffy’s horror, Spike hits her back; he tells her she came back wrong, not quite human. Their fight intensifies, and they soon find themselves inside a condemned house; as Buffy pins Spike to the wall the two of them break into a passionate kiss; the floor gives way and they fall through to the level below, their kisses leading to something much more intense…
