Buck is sent on a mission to break into an underground prison and free Jen Burton, a woman falsely accused of murder. Earth Directorate now plans to return Jen to Earth so that she can testify against her former boyfriend, Malory Pantera, a wanted criminal and pirate of the space lanes. Disguised as a convict, Buck infiltrates the prison and rescues Jen; together they set off across the desert surface so that they can rendezvous with Wilma at the planet’s spaceport. However, Buck and Jen soon learn that they are being pursued by an indestructible android prison guard which will stop at nothing to recapture the escaped prisoners…
