Buck and Twiki visit former Earth colony New Corinth on the planet Arcadis. Most of the colony members left years earlier due to the outbreak of a mysterious plague, but two of the survivors, a young widow named Syra and her son Delph, stayed behind to run their farm. Syra tells Buck that they are being terrorised by a satyr named Pangor, and that the half-man, half-goat creature forces them to make Moon Wine for him. Buck tries to convince Syra and Delph to leave with him, but then he too contracts the plague - and finds himself turning into a satyr…
