'Barbecued Batman?' Story Code '9713-Part 2' by Francis Cockrell and Marian Cockrell |
Holy Harmonies! Batman and Robin are about to be roasted on a giant spit when Batman’s Adhesive Batbombs suddenly explode, distracting the Minstrel and his minions long enough for the Dynamic Duo to shake the spit loose from its supports and free themselves. The Minstrel, Bass and Treble flee for their other hideout, leaving behind Amanda; Batman agrees to let her go free, but plants a bugging device in her purse in the hope that she will lead them to the Minstrel. However, the malodorous musician immediately locates the device and informs the eavesdropping Caped Crusader that he is going to begin ‘Plan High-C’, telling the crimefighter to gather the members of the stock exchange at the Exchange Building for a demonstration of his dastardly scheme. But when the assembly has convened, the Minstrel broadcasts a signal that corresponds to the building's resonance, causing it to tremble terribly, and enabling him to blackmail the financiers to give into his demands or else he will destroy the whole building…
