After Orac surmises that these events are due to a reaction in his conditioning, Blake teleports down to the asteroid, to rendezvous with a man named Glynd, and the heavily-bandaged rebel leader known as Shivan. Against the objections of his crew, Blake brings the two men aboard, and then changes the ship s heading so that he can pick up Governor Le Grand. Once everyone is on board, Blake takes them to an important government meeting so that they can expose administration corruption using evidence collected by Glynd; when this has been achieved, Blake, Le Grand and Shivan plan to head the new administration. Avon and Cally consult Orac and learn that the conditioning tone affecting Blake is being transmitted from a device held by Glynd; they manage to obtain it, but then Blake steals Orac s key, preventing the computer from analysing the device any further. Blake leaves for the planet along with Le Grand, Glynd, Vila and Jenna, leaving Shivan aboard the Liberator with Avon and Cally; however, when the group arrives on the planet, they are captured by Servalan and her troops - she has lain in wait for them after suspecting Glynd s plot right from the beginning. After Gylnd is wounded and Le Grand killed, aboard Liberator, Shivan removes his bandages, to reveal his real identity: Travis. He forces Avon to teleport him to the others on the planet; however, Avon uses the device to make Blake smash Travis teleport bracelet, and then destroys the device, freeing Blake from it influence and enabling him and the rest of the Liberator crew to escape back to the safety of the ship.

Gareth Thomas (Blake), Sally Knyvette (Jenna), Michael Keating (Vila), Paul Darrow (Avon), Jan Chappell (Cally), Peter Tuddenham (Zen / Orac), Jacqueline Pearce (Servalan), Brian Croucher (Travis), Richard Bebb (Glynd), Frieda Knorr (Governor Le Grand), Martin Read (Nagu)

Directed by George Spenton-Foster
Produced by David Maloney

TX:
13th March, 1979 @ 7.20 pm - 8.10 pm

Notes:
*Featuring Roj Blake, Kerr Avon, Jenna Stannis, Vila Restal, Cally, Zen and Orac
