When Avon is questioned by Captain Del Tarrant, he feigns ignorance of the ship, but Section Leader Klegg is suspicious, and forces him and Dayna to take part in a voice recognition test with the ship s computer. Zen does not recognise Dayna, but just as Avon is about to take his turn, Tarrant knocks him unconscious, claiming that he was about to draw a gun on them. Meanwhile, Vila has been stranded on the planet Chenga; he befriends two of the natives, but then they are hunted by Hitechs . Elsewhere, after Cally is rescued by a Chengan hospital ship, she witnesses Servalan being brought aboard. Back on Liberator, several of the Federation troopers are killed; Tarrant reveals to Avon that he is in fact a Federation deserter and outlaw; he used the war with the aliens to find himself a position of power, but now wishes to join the Liberator crew; it was he who has been killing the troopers. Cally and Vila are reunited at the Chengan medical facility, but are then informed by Servalan that the base is actually an organ bank, and that the Chengans are taking advantage of the recent war to increase their supplies. Servalan has now bought her freedom, and she leaves the other two to face their fate as donors. Tarrant and Avon overcome Klegg, and teleport Cally and Villa aboard the ship just as they are about to be operated upon.

Paul Darrow (Avon), Michael Keating (Vila), Jan Chappell (Cally), Josette Simon (Dayna), Steven Pacey (Tarrant), Peter Tuddenham (Zen / Orac), Jacqueline Pearce (Servalan), Michael Sheard (Klegg), Doyne Byrd (Harmon), John Hollis (Lom), Michael Crane (Mall), Primi Townsend (Zee), Julia Vidler (Barr), Catherine Chase (Nurse), Helen Batch (Receptionist)

Directed by David Moloney
Produced by David Maloney

TX:
14th January 1980 @ 7.15 pm - 8.10 pm

Notes:
*Featuring Kerr Avon, Vila Restal, Cally, Dayna Mellanby, Del Tarrant, Zen and Orac
