After discovering a teleport system and powerful handguns, Blake decides to use the vessel in his plans to bring down the Federation; he needs a crew to pilot the ship, and so heads off to Cygnus Alpha to rescue the rest of the convicts. Using the ship s sophisticated systems to teleport down to the surface, he discovers that the prison colony has become a religious cult ruled by a power-mad man known as Vargas. While Blake is away, Avon attempts to persuade Jena to abandon their self-appointed leader, and to leave in the Liberator, taking its store or riches for themselves. However, Jenna s loyalty to Blake wins through, and she refuses to leave. On the planet, Blake discovers that the apparent sickness that the convicts are suffering from is nothing more that a deception used by Vargas to keep his followers in check. They attempt to overpower Vargas and the members of his cult, but Vargas seizes one of Blake s spare teleport bracelets, and teleports onto Liberator. Jenna is able to teleport him into space, while Blake escapes his captors and returns to the ship along with Vila and Gan.

Gareth Thomas (Blake), Sally Knyvette (Jenna), Michael Keating (Vila), Paul Darrow (Avon), David Jackson (Gan</B), Peter Tuddenham (Zen), Brian Blessed (Vargas), Pamela Salem (Kara), Peter Childs (Arco), David Ryall (Selman), Robert Russell (Laran), Glyn Owen (Leylan), Norman Tipton (Artix)

Directed by Vere Lorrimer
Produced by David Maloney

TX:
16th January, 1978 @ 7.15 pm - 8.10 pm

Notes:
*Featuring Roj Blake, Kerr Avon, Jenna Stannis, Vila Restal, Olag Gan and Zen
