Guessing this refers to them, they travel to the planet Domo, the rendezvous mentioned in the message. Domo specialises in slave-trading, and so Avon allows himself to be captured so that he can get close to Servalan; however, he loses his teleport bracelet. He meets an old slave named Neebrox, who tells him that Servalan recently bought a slave and took them to a mysterious black ship, which then departed. Avon is sold to Servalan, but Neebrox helps him to regain his bracelet, and the two of them teleport back to <I>Scorpio</I>. The crew pursue the black ship, and when they teleport across to it, they overpower a black-clad man they take to be Cancer, and rescue a frightened girl called Piri, who claims that Servalan bought her for Cancer s pleasure. Cancer is locked up, and Avon awaits the arrival of Servalan. But Cancer escapes, Neebrox is found dead, and Avon is drugged. He awakes to discover that he his being held by Piri, who is in reality Cancer. She prepares to kill him with her trademark - a deadly spider.
