An astronomer named Professor Richter has made a terrifying observation: a white dwarf star is on a collision course with our solar system. Unfortunately, before his theory can be verified, he is murdered. Mrs. Gale goes undercover to find the truth, and she and Steed soon realise that there are certain parties who could actually benefit from a worldwide Armageddon...
