When Steed and Cathy search the baggage of the late Reverend Harbottle, they find a gun, ammunition, and an antique doll with a head full of microfilm. Posing as Harbottle's replacement, Steed infiltrates Bibliotek, a very old crime syndicate fronted as an international church, and which is planning a conference for their major members. But when their dying leader asks his ‘flock’ to vote on his replacement, his assistant, Sister Johnson, makes the decision for them with the use of a machine gun…
