He calls on the services of Major Nesbit, a safari expert, to track down the  big cat , but Nesbit quickly becomes the animal's next target. Steed discovers that all the victims were on the board of directors for P.U.R.R.R. - the Philanthropic Union for the Rescue, Relief and Recuperation of Cats - a society run by a man named Cheshire.
