After managing to convince the other side that a third party is responsible, Steed calls a truce and agrees to an exchange program so as to keep an eye on one another. Mrs. Gale is teamed up with a Soviet agent, and Steed also receives a new partner, the lovely Kim Lawrence - in reality an actress hired by the other side. After Mrs. Gale's partner is killed at the dentist's, Steed and Kim search for clues at a hat and tie shop.
